  Delivery

  Two in-person multiple-choice papers, English and Maths, held by all six participating schools at the same time on Tuesday 15 September 2026; candidates are allocated a test centre.

  The two paper results are combined as a total score with no negative marking. Participating schools set their pass mark after marking; a pass is not an offer. Greenshaw uses the outcome for its ability places, while the five grammar schools use it to invite candidates to school-specific second-stage tests.

Eligibility

Boys in Year 6 in September 2026 must be deemed of selective ability through the Wilson's SET and second stage entrance tests, and Wilson's School must be named on the home local authority Common Application Form.

Score policy

Candidates must pass both second stage papers and meet the overall pass mark. The rank order combines age-adjusted SET, second stage English, and second stage mathematics scores in the ratio 1:2:2.

Oversubscription

Eligible applicants are prioritised in order of looked-after or previously looked-after children by test rank, 14 Free School Meal places by test rank, up to 9 sports aptitude places, up to 9 music aptitude places, then remaining places by standardised entrance-test rank; Sutton address distance, other address distance, and random ballot break ties.
