  Two in-person multiple-choice papers, English and Maths, held by all six participating schools at the same time on Tuesday 15 September 2026; candidates are allocated a test centre.

  The two paper results are combined as a total score with no negative marking. Participating schools set their pass mark after marking; a pass is not an offer. Greenshaw uses the outcome for its ability places, while the five grammar schools use it to invite candidates to school-specific second-stage tests.

Eligibility

Girls must register for and pass all parts of the two-stage Entrance Test: the Sutton SET and the Nonsuch and Wallington Second Stage Entrance Examination (NWSSEE), then name Wallington High School for Girls on the home local authority Common Application Form.

Score policy

SET is English and mathematics multiple choice; NWSSEE is English and mathematics non-multiple choice. Candidates must pass both NWSSEE papers, and NWSSEE marks are added to half of the aggregate SET mark, with each component equally weighted, to rank applicants.

Oversubscription

Eligible applicants are prioritised in order of looked-after children, 100 places by highest Entrance Test score irrespective of address, up to 35 Pupil Premium places by score, up to 110 catchment places by score, then remaining places by score; distance and random allocation break ties.
