The multiples of 6 are all even, so they only ever land in the columns ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8.
Patterns that help
The last digits go 6, 2, 8, 4, 0 and then repeat.
6 is even, so every multiple of 6 is even too.
A quick check: It must be even AND its digits must add to a multiple of 3, because 6 = 2 × 3. 84 is even, and 8 + 4 = 12, so 84 is a multiple of 6.
