Scores are age-standardised and weighted 50 per cent for English and verbal reasoning, 25 per cent for non-verbal reasoning and 25 per cent for mathematics. There is no single route-wide offer threshold: each partner school applies its own qualifying scores and oversubscription rules. September 2027 school thresholds are not yet published, and sitting or passing the shared test does not guarantee an offer.

Eligibility
Ashlawn is a bilateral school. Its academic route uses the shared West Midlands Grammar Schools Entrance Test. Up to 31 Year 7 places are selected by academic ability, separately from up to 25 modern-language aptitude places and the non-selective intake. Warwickshire states that date of birth is the only condition for sitting the shared test, but an offer depends on Ashlawn's published academic criteria and the home local-authority application.
Score policy
The Committee of Reference sets the automatic qualifying score and the waiting-list minimum after the test, taking account of the cohort, applications and available places. Applicants are ranked under the policy's geographic and pupil-premium categories. The September 2027 scores are not yet published, so no historic threshold is reused and a test score alone does not guarantee an offer.
Oversubscription
After an education, health and care plan naming the school and looked-after or previously looked-after children, the academic route provides up to 15 places for the Eastern Area and up to 16 places within the 10.004-mile priority circle around Rugby Water Tower. Pupil-premium applicants have first priority within each academic allocation. Eastern Area applicants must meet the automatic qualifying score. The priority-circle allocation then considers other applicants meeting that score and, if needed, the Committee of Reference minimum standard. Unused academic places can pass outside the priority circle by automatic qualifying score; if too few children qualify, unfilled places convert to the non-selective intake.

Registration routes and shared dates

Use the registration route shown for the child's real home address, then account for every school you intend to name. The home address is used to allocate a test centre. If an intended school is outside that registration region, select its partnership region for score-sharing before the deadline. The groups below are not alternatives: route-specific and school-specific dates can apply cumulatively, while shared result, preference-form and offer dates apply across multiple groups.
