A whole word can hide in plain sight, tucked inside a longer string of letters. Your eyes may race past it... but one simple search trick makes it appear!

A hidden word is one continuous run of letters inside a bounded string. The two boundary bars show exactly where the string starts and finishes. Search only between them. First, notice how many letters the answer needs. Then slide a window of that size along the string, one place at a time. Read each window from left to right. Keep the letters in their original order, with no gaps. Here is the vital check. Use EVERY letter inside your window. Do not choose a word merely because some nearby letters can make it. If you skip a letter, swap letters, or reach beyond the boundaries, it is not the answer.

Let's work through an example. Between the boundary bars is this letter string: P, C, L, O, U, D, Y. Find the hidden five-letter English word, using five consecutive letters exactly as shown. We need five letters, so the window must cover five boxes. Start at the first letter: P, C, L, O, U. Read them together: pclou. That is not an English word, so move the window one place to the right. Now the window covers C, L, O, U, D. Read from left to right: cloud. That is a real word, but check every rule before you stop. It has five letters. They are consecutive. Their order has not changed, and every letter sits inside the boundary bars. You may also spot loud inside cloud. Loud is a perfectly good word... but it uses only four letters. The question asks for five. So loud cannot be the answer. The exact hidden word is CLOUD.

Match the required length, slide one place at a time, and read every letter in order with no gaps. Check the boundaries, trust the exact string, and you will uncover hidden words with confidence!
