Before starting
Find a quiet place and have a pencil and paper ready for working out. The timer starts when the questions are prepared. It keeps running if you leave the page, so begin when you have 30 minutes free.
Work through one question at a time. Read each question carefully before choosing an answer. Your answers are saved as you work through the paper.
Use the result to choose what to practise
The results preview shows a small sample of strengths and topics needing practice. A parent can use it as a starting point for a learning plan. This is a short sample, so avoid treating one score as a pass prediction.
How this practice differs from the entrance test
This paper uses original Trace Learn questions and a single 30-minute timer. It is independent of GL Assessment. It does not reproduce GL papers, official scoring, local booklet timings or audio instructions.
GL Assessment publishes familiarisation guidance across English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning, and explains that local timing and question counts vary.
Read GL Assessment’s own guidance. Format scope reviewed 2026-09-30.
Questions parents ask
Does this match my local GL test exactly?
No. It practises four broad subject areas and multiple-choice answering. GL Assessment says local timings and question counts can differ. Check your school or admissions authority.
Can the timer be paused?
No. The 30-minute deadline is strict and continues if you close or refresh the page. You can return to the saved attempt on the same device while time remains.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to take the short mock and see a results preview. A parent can create an account afterwards to save and use the diagnostic result.
Will the score tell me whether my child will pass?
No. This small practice sample cannot predict an entrance-exam result or produce an official standardised score.
