Published figures and their scope

Qualification and priority are different

For 2027, Birmingham’s qualifying threshold is 205. The King Edward VI schools’ priority threshold is 224. Each school’s admissions categories still determine priority. Section scores are adjusted for age; raw marks are not provided.

Read a past cutoff with its category

For 2026 entry, Camp Hill School for Boys reported 254 and 6,831 metres for Category 5 in March. This is one school, category and allocation round. It does not predict a 2027 offer.

What happens below 205?

The Foundation states that applicants below the qualifying score will not be considered and advises parents not to list the school. Read its results guidance and the school’s policy before completing preferences.

Use practice to decide what to learn next

Questions parents ask

Does qualifying guarantee a Birmingham school offer?

Read the school’s current allocation policy as well as the qualifying threshold. Historic offer figures describe a particular entry year and category; they do not predict your child’s result.
